We manufacture grade EN19 plates that meet the exact specifications of our clients. The quality of this plate depends on the raw material that we source, and we make sure that we find the best raw material in the industry. EN-19 PLATE consists of high-quality alloy steel that offers a high level of tensile strength, high levels of wear and tear resistance, and a lot more. Because of their good shock resistance and ductility, these components are commonly used in the automotive industry. There is no doubt that this grade of the plate comes in toughened and machinable surfaces as well as the ubiquitous T condition in the market that makes it highly desirable for several applications where machinability and strength of the plate are the primary considerations.
At A lot of our alloy steel en19 / 4140 sheet plate is exactly what people are looking for in such sheets and plates. One of the best qualities of this alloy steel sheet plate is the fact that it is formulated with high tensile strength. We are currently developing a new set of sheets and plates in the desired lengths and breadths based on the needs and requirements of our global clients. Known as a manufacturer and exporter of alloy steel sheets and plates, we are constantly developing the sheets and plates that we are working on.
As an alloy steel sheet and plate can be used in machine tools, it is very formable, workable, and weldable. Since it can be fabricated using conventional machine tools, it reduces costs for machining.
There are two types of alloy steel. Typically, the alloy steel grade is supplied with heat treatment and testing. In addition to processing, the material goes through annealing after being processed in the top mills, making this steel grade both magnetic and non-magnetic. In our inventory, we have a wide variety of plates and sheets that meet a number of specifications, standards, dimensions, thicknesses, and designations.

AISI 4140 Plates / EN19 Plate Uses :
- Gears
- Pinions
- Shafts
- Spindles
- Oil & Gas Industries
Applications:
Originally, EN19 was developed to be used in machine tools and motors for gearing, pinions, shafts, spindles, etc., that are used in the machine tool and motor industry. In the later stages, its applications were much broader, and it is now widely used in industries such as oil and gas. As a general rule, EN19T is suitable for many applications, including gears, bolts, studs, and other high-tensile steels where a high-quality high-tensile steel grade is required. Originally, EN19 was developed to be used in machine tools and motors for gearing, pinions, shafts, spindles, etc., that are used in the machine tool and motor industry. As a general rule, EN19T is suitable for many applications, including gears, bolts, studs, and other high-tensile steels where a high-quality high-tensile steel grade is required.
Typical Applications:
There are a variety of parts, tooling, machine plates, gears, shafts, hooks, sprockets, Special Machine Parts Molds, metal stamping, tool and die, shredders, automotive, oil and gas industries, machine shops, and paper mills.
Forging:
Heat the metal carefully, and then raise the temperature to 850-1200 degrees for forging. Do not forge below 850 degrees. After the forging is complete, allow the metal to cool slowly in still air.
Annealing:
It is very important to heat the EN19T slowly until 680-700oC, then cool it in the air after that.
Hardening:
This steel grade is usually supplied ready heat treated, so additional heat treatment may be required; annealed EN19 should be heated slowly to 860-890oC before quenching in oil after soaking for a sufficient period. As soon as the tool reaches room temperature, tempering should be done.
Tempering:
It is important that you heat your ruling section carefully to a suitable temperature determined by a tempering chart or table. Soak for 2 hours per 25mm of ruling section at the temperature, and then allow it to cool in the open air for two hours. Tempering between 250-375 degrees Celsius is not recommended as tempering within this range will result in a decrease in impact value.
Heat Treatment:
As a result of factors such as the shape and size of each steel component, heat treatment temperatures, cooling times, and soaking times will vary. You should consult your heat treatment provider for complete guidance on heat treatment of EN19 alloy steel, including the type of furnace, quenching medium, and work piece transfer facilities.

Applications of EN19 Plate & Sheets / 709M40 / 42CRMO4 Plates & Sheets:
The EN19 standard was developed originally for the manufacturing of gears, pinions, shafts, and spindles for use in the machine tool and motor industries. Its applications later became much broader, and it is now widely used in areas such as the oil and gas industry. In addition to gears, bolts, studs, and a wide variety of other applications that require a high tensile steel grade, EN19 is also ideal for a wide array of other applications as well.
Forging of EN19 Plate & Sheets / 709M40 / 42CRMO4 Plates & Sheets:
Preheating should be done very carefully, followed by raising the temperature to 850-1200oC for forging, while not forging below 850oC. After forging, cool slowly in a still environment after forging.
Hardening of EN19 Plate & Sheets / 709M40 / 42CRMO4 Plates & Sheets:
As this steel grade is commonly supplied ready heat treated, additional heat treatment may be required; annealed EN19 should be heated slowly to 860-890oC and then can be quenched in oil after a sufficient period of soaking at this temperature. The tempering should be carried out as soon as the tool reaches room temperature.
Tempering of EN19 Plate & Sheets / 709M40 / 42CRMO4 Plates & Sheets:
Tempering the section carefully involves referring to a tempering chart or table that specifies the temperature at which the section should be tempered. For every 25mm of the ruling section, allow two hours of soaking at the temperature, followed by cooling in the air for two hours. Tempering between 250°C and 375°C is not recommended because it will reduce its impact value.
