As the name implies, Hadfield High Manganese Steel Plates are useful for many industrial applications and general purposes, such as scaffolding, heat exchangers, shipbuilding, and infrastructure construction, as well as other general applications. Additionally, these plates can also be used to construct shredder plates, chain guides, stone chutes, screens, grizzlies, and moving jaws for crushing plants. Besides this, it is also suitable for industries such as the iron & foundry industry, the automotive industry, scraps, concrete and brickworks, mining, construction, and quarries. A number of uses for these metal plates can be found in general purposes, such as sintering seal bars, shake-out dates, dust collectors, shot blast machines, cabinets, crusher liners, grader blades, elevator buckets, baffle plates, stone chutes, crusher jaws, chain wear bars, hammers, and grizzly bars.

HADFIELD Manganese Plates are highly ductile and nonmagnetic, despite the fact that they are prone to corrosion. These products have high tensile strength, excellent welding ability, and excellent abrasion resistance. During the lifetime of the products, it has the ability to resist severe impact and abrasion as well as remain highly ductile throughout the long term. There is no issue welding this plate as it is manufactured with the standard Hadfield grade and it is easy to assemble. This steel plate is made with the toughest standards grade in the production house for longer service life and it has properties that are non-magnetic. It can be readily cut with the water jet, laser, plasma, and oxy-acetylene.

After the production of HIGH-DEFENSE STEEL PLATES, many tests will be carried out on the plates, such as mechanical testing, pitting resistance testing, hydrostatic testing, mechanical testing, intragranular testing, micro testing, hardness testing, flattening testing, flaring testing, macro testing, and many others.

This model is the same as the conventional Hadfield manganese steel plates but there is an additional feature: these plates have excellent abrasion resistance, and they have high heat resistance for those special applications that call for a hardened surface.

A manganese steel grade is ideal for wearing plates as part of the strengthening process and is in high demand across a number of industries as well. These plates are primarily used as wear-resistant plates for conveyors, grizzly bars, truck bodies, and many other applications. The primary property of Hadfield Manganese Plates is that it contains manganese steel, which is the key component to its wear resistance. These steel plates can safely absorb shocks due to their toughness. There is a great advantage to these manganese plates, which is that they are only hardened in the outer layer, while the inner layer remains ductile and flexible during the work-hardening process.

         Cutting & Machining

We have designed TensamangTM steel plates to be easy to cut and machine, and to simplify the process of cutting and machining TensamangTM steel. There is no need to purchase new cutting tools for the use of plasma, oxy-acetylene, lasers, water jets, as well as abrasive cut-off saws, as it can be cut with plasma, oxy-acetylene, laser, and water jets as well. Even though TensamangTM steel is not considered machinable, Clifton Steel has the experience and the know-how needed to drill, tap, machine, and grind the steel you require in order to fulfill your fabrication requirements. Get a free quote today by contacting our customer service representatives.

          Forming

Although Clifton Steel’s Hadfield Grade TensamangTM steel plate does not recommend hot forming, it is still possible to cold forge Clifton Steel’s Hadfield Grade TensamangTM steel plate. A pre-peening operation can be scheduled if you are unable to wait for a work-hardening surface to occur after roughening, since you can also reheat the steel plate, resulting in carbide precipitation and embrittlement of the steel plate. We do offer pre-peening services if you are unable to wait for a work-hardening process after roughening.

          Welding

The Tensaweld Mang-312 wire from Clifton Steel enables easy welding of our TensamangTM steel. Ductility will be increased in the fusion zone by peening. Preheating is not recommended for our TensamangTM steel.

           Thermal Treatment

In order to produce an austenitic structure, TensamangTM steel is heated to 1800+° and rapidly quenched in water. This procedure produces an austenitic steel with a hardness of 200 BHK on an as-quenched basis.

          Documentation:

Documentation is offered upon request of the buyer as the assurance of the quality of the product and supplying only as needed. These may include commercial invoices, fumigation certificates, heat treatment charts, quality assurance plans, packaging lists, raw material sample reports, or material traceability reports.

          Test Certificate:

Test Certificate from the manufacturer according to EN 10204 / 3.1B, Test Report from the three radiography tests, Raw Materials Certificate, and Inspection Report from the third party.

            Marking And Packing

As part of the packaging, all products are marked with lot numbers, size, grade, degree, and trademark. Products are packaged to ensure that they do not damage during shipment. We promise to deliver the product as soon as possible, but only if the stock is available. Additionally, in order to ensure safe transportation, the products are packaged in wooden crates/pallets/boxes, shrink-wrapped, and carton boxes to ensure the safety of the shipment process. Export orders are shipped from the company in wooden boxes and this is the standard packaging used for export orders, although on special requests from clients, we can produce custom markings on the products.
