As a leading manufacturer of Inconel 601 Sheets and Plates, Tronixalloy.com supplies, exports, and imports the superior quality sheets and plates worldwide.

Specifications for sheets and plates include surface finish, end finish, dimensions, shapes, sizes, toughness, and length.

Sheets and plates are used in industrial applications that require high temperatures. Due to their high strength and toughness, sheets and plates can also be used in pressure applications. Furthermore, the sheets and plates are available in a variety of types, allowing them to be used for a variety of purposes.

Industry applications determine which sheets and plates are used

Chromium and nickel alloy Inconel 601 has a number of alloying elements that provide excellent oxidation resistance. Since it is designed for cryogenic temperature applications, the alloy is primarily used in chloride-containing environments. Furthermore, among all of the inorganic compounds, this alloy exhibits the best corrosion resistance.

This molybdenum, nickel, and chromium alloy is designed to withstand severe corrosive environments. This is how it allows for high-temperature hardening, however.

Due to its alloying elements, Inconel 601 Sheets & Plates have many properties. These properties include high ductility, durability, stability at elevated temperatures, high toughness, good weldability, and machinability.

Alloy 601 Coil can be used in many chemical process devices, including process heaters, combustor parts, and condenser tubes. With its unbeatable thermal management and corrosion protection, Inconel DIN 2.4851 Foil is a nickel-based superalloy. Nickel Alloy 601 Shim Sheet is able to resist creep rupture and is commonly used in machinery that must endure sustained exposure to high temperatures. Its tolerance to not only oxidation but also other forms of corrosion caused by high-temperature contact enhances its suitability for such high-temperature applications.

Inconel 601 Sheets and Plates Packing & Shipping

All Inconel 601 Sheets and Plates delivery from the mill to the customer is packaged according to the customer’s specifications. This includes preparation for export such as wooden cases, pallets or as specified by the customer.

Inconel 601 Sheet Finishes according to ASTM B168 UNS N06601

The product is hot rolled, annealed, and descaled. It is available as a strip, foil, and ribbon. Applications where a smooth decorative finish is not required.
In #2D, a dull finish is produced by cold rolling, annealing, and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and parts that require lubrication during forming.
A smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing, and descaling. With polished rolls, a light cold rolling pass is added after annealing to give it a brighter finish than 2D.
Cold rolled and bright annealed #BA
Cold rolled matte finish and bright annealed #CBA-Course
The second type is cold rolled
The #2BA finish is produced by cold rolling and bright annealing. Glossy finishes are produced by a light pass using highly polished rolls. When a glossy finish is desired in a formed part, a 2BA finish can be used.
Various grit finishes for specific polishing requirements.

    Properties of Inconel 601 alloy

    Inconel 601 Cold Forming

During the hot-forming process of Inconel alloy 601, the temperature range is from 1600-2250°F (870-1230°C). When hot-working operations involving large deformations are required, they should be performed at a temperature of 1900-2250°F (1040-1230°C). Due to its low ductility at temperatures between 1200°F and 1600°F (650°C and 870°C), it is not recommended to work the alloy in those ranges of temperatures. The development of high tensile properties can be achieved by doing light work at temperatures below 1200°F (650°C).

    Inconel 601 Machining

Inconel alloy 601 can be machined to perform all standard machining operations. It is recommended that the alloy be in the solution-treated condition in order to have the best machinability.

    Inconel 601 Hot Forming

During the hot-forming process of Inconel alloy 601, the temperature range is from 1600-2250°F (870-1230°C). When hot-working operations involving large deformations are required, they should be performed at a temperature of 1900-2250°F (1040-1230°C). Due to its low ductility at temperatures between 1200°F and 1600°F (650°C and 870°C), it is not recommended to work the alloy in those ranges of temperatures. The development of high tensile properties can be achieved by working at temperatures under 1200°F (650°C) in a light manner.

    Inconel 601 Welding
The Inconel alloy 601 exhibits good weldability and can be joined by conventional welding products and processes with little or no difficulty. In addition to providing high joint efficiency and heat resistance, welding products are available that provide high joint efficiency. If the fabricated alloy 601 components is going to be exposed to a variety of service conditions, then the choice of welding product will be determined by those conditions. By welding the Inconel alloy 601 with shielded metal arcs, gas tungsten arcs, and gas metal arcs, it is possible to achieve tensile properties that are superior to those of Inconel alloy 601.

    Inconel 601 Heat Treatment

As with other alloys containing high levels of nickel, Inconel alloy 601 must be cleaned before it can be heated. Before a heating operation can be performed on a material, all foreign substances such as grease, oil, paint, and shop soil must be removed from it before any heating operation can be performed. A low-sulfur atmosphere must be used to heat the alloy during the heating process. It is very important that the fuel used for open heating is low in sulfur. In order to prevent excessive oxidation of the material, the furnace atmosphere should also be slightly reducing to prevent excessive oxidation. It is not possible to strengthen Inconel alloy 601 by heat treating it. With the combination of cold work and annealing treatments, the alloy can be made to exhibit a wide range of strength and hardness, however. When establishing an annealing procedure, it is important to consider both the amount of cold work and the section size of the material.

    Documentation

A very important aspect of the products we supply is the documentation, and we constantly strive to improve the efficiency of the document-handling process without compromising the quality of the final product. Along with the shipment, the following documents are provided: Certificate of Origin, Material Test Certificate as per EN 10204 3.1 and 10204 3.2, NACE MR10103 and NACE MR0175 certified Test Certificates.

    Quality Assurance

It should be noted that Inconel Plate Sheets are manufactured and controlled in accordance with international standards such as ASTM, ASME, BS, MSS, EN, DIN or WERKSTOFFE. All of our products are subjected to stringent quality tests prior to being dispatched to our customers.

    Material Testing

PMI Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Mechanical Testing, Spectro Tests for Chemical Analysis of the grade, Flaring Tests, IGC, etc. are some of the tests that we conduct at our facility, among others. You are welcome to send representatives of your company or third party inspection agencies to inspect our facilities on a stage-by-stage basis.

    Packing and Delivery

A wooden crate or a carton box is used to package the product after it has been wrapped and packed. As a company, we are committed to providing our clients with high-quality products on time, no matter where they are located in the world.
