Tronixalloy.com is a leading manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of EN15 Round Bars. Medium carbon steel EN15 Round Bars have a ductile strength comparable to mild steel. Tubes, studs, bolts, connecting rods, screws, and rollers can all be manufactured using EN15 Carbon Steel Bar. Our company is a leading manufacturer and exporter of EN15 Round Bars.

The EN15 steel alloy is a very high strength steel alloy that is hardened and tempered. A nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, EN15 steel, also known as 817M40, offers high tensile strength, good ductility, and wear resistance.

An actual high strength steel alloy, EN15 round bar is tough and hardened before fabrication and contains nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, making it a high strength steel alloy with good ductility and wear resistance. The EN15 round bar has decent internal strength and high external strength, making it extremely wear-resistant.

Nickel chromium molybdenum alloy EN15 square bar offers good strength, wear resistance, and ductility. EN15 is also suitable for a variety of high temperature needs, and has relatively good bending strength at low temperatures, while EN15 steel round bar offers a good combination of strength, ductility, and wear resistance.

Due to their high tensile strength and low cost, steels are widely used in construction and other applications. As a result of carbon, other elements, and inclusions within iron, dislocations are prevented from moving within the crystal lattices of iron atoms. Carbon contributes up to 2.1% of the weight of typical steel alloys.

In With steel, varying the amount of alloying elements, which form either as solutes or precipitates, retards the movement of dislocations that make iron so ductile and weak, and controls the properties of steel, such as its hardness, ductility, and tensile strength. Steel’s strength comes at the expense of ductility, which iron has in abundance.

Although steel had been produced in bloomery furnaces for thousands of years, its use expanded greatly after blister steel and then crucible steel production methods were devised in the 17th century. A new era of mass-produced steel began with the invention of the Bessemer process in the mid-19th century. Siemens-Martin was followed by Gilchrist-Thomas, which refined the quality of steel.

After mild steel was introduced, wrought iron was largely replaced by wrought iron. Further refinements in the process, such as basic oxygen steelmaking (BOS), further lowered production costs and improved metal quality. Today, steel is one of the most common materials in the world, with more than 1.3 billion tons produced each year. Buildings, infrastructure, tools, ships, automobiles, machines, appliances, and weapons contain it. Modern steel is classified by various standards organisations.

    Certifications for EN15 Round Bars

Our company is ISO 9001 certified. Also, we have an IS2062 licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards for steel rounds used in structural, bright bars and other engineering applications. In addition, we have BIS certification to manufacture boiler rounds.

    Forging Properties

Preheat carefully, then raise temperature to 1000-1100°C for forging. Do not forge the steel below 850-1100°C. After forging cool slowly, preferably in a furnace.

    Stress Relieving

When parts are heavily machined, ground or otherwise subject to cold work, stress relieving will be beneficial prior to hardening. Heat carefully to 650-670°C, soak well before cooling in the furnace or in the air.

    Normalising

    1. Nominal normalising temperature:840-900°C.

    2. Hold the temperature for several hours.

    3. Cooling in the air.

    Annealing

Heat slowly to 840-860°C, soak well and allow to cool with the furnace to 580°C, before withdrawing.

    Density

    Density – 7840 kg/m3

    Machinability

EN15 is a very popular grade of through-hardening alloy steel, which is readily machinable in the “T” condition.

    Welding

When welding is completed, allow components to cool to 180°C before Post Weld Heat Treatment.

Why EN15 Material Good for Round Bar?

EN15 steel is a commonly used steel grade for round bars. Due to its low carbon content, it won’t harden or become brittle when used for Round Bar. Due to this, it is a good material to use for round bars.
