Tronixalloy.com offers EN 26 Round Bar. There are two types of round bars available: bright bars and hot rolled bars. Usually used in the aerospace and defence industries for gears and shafts, EN 26 Round Bar is a high tensile alloy steel. We are one of the largest and most trusted suppliers of EN 26 Round Bar in India.
EN 26 Round Bar can also be supplied quenched and tempered, annealed, or in any other condition required by our customers. Standard lengths of these bars are available, as well as cut lengths based on the size required by the consumer. Tronixalloy.com is a Round Bar supplier in Mumbai and other cities. Tronixalloy.com also supplies En26w 826M40 Hardening steel as round bars and blocks.
Tronixalloy.com manufactures forged blocks and flats. En26 steel round bars and forged blocks are available in tempered condition from us. There are many sizes of En26 round and flat in stock. En26 steel bars and rods are also available in billet form for forging en26 circles.
In terms of steel grades, EN 26 is a low-alloy steel grade with chromium and molybdenum contents. It is also known as 826M40 in the United Kingdom and AISI 8740 in the United States. An EN 26 round bar is a cylindrical metal rod made out of this steel grade that has a diameter of 26 millimeters and is manufactured using the EN 26 steel grade.
Usually, EN 26 steel is used in applications that require high tensile strength, such as aircraft landing gear, shafts, and gears, in which high tensile strength is required. As a result of its good wear resistance, toughness, and hardenability, it is suitable for use in environments under high levels of stress, such as industrial environments.
The steel round bar EN 26 can be machined and welded using conventional methods, and it can also be heat-treated in order to achieve different levels of strength and hardness. In most cases, the material is supplied in the annealed or normalized condition, however it can also be supplied in the hardened and tempered condition.
I believe that EN 26 round bars are a versatile and reliable material that is widely used in a number of industrial applications that require a high degree of strength and durability.

Process: EAF+LF+VOD+ Forged+Heat Treatment
SIZE RANGE:
Round:
Hot Forged: 80mm-1200mm
Forging of EN26 Round Bars :
As soon as the temperature reaches 1150°C – 1200°C, forge and hold until the temperature is uniform throughout. At 850°C or higher, forge. Workpieces should be cooled slowly in sand or dry lime after forging.
Machining of EN26 Round Bars :
EN26 in the hardened and tempered as supplied condition is still regarded as being readily machinable and operations such as turning and drilling etc. can be carried out satisfactorily using machine manufacturers, recommendations for suitable tool type – feeds and speeds.
Welding of EN26 Round Bars :
Welding of EN26 in the hardened and tempered condition (as normally supplied), is not recommended and should be avoided if at all possible, as the mechanical properties will be altered within the weld heat affected zone. It is preferred that welding be carried out on EN26 while in the annealed condition, and that the work piece, immediately on cooling to hand warm, is then stress relieved at 640°C – 660°C prior to hardening and tempering. If welding in the hardened and tempered condition is really necessary, then the workpiece, immediately on cooling to hand warm, should be stress relieved at 15°C below the original tempering temperature.
Ultrasonic test:
According to SEP 1921-84 3Cc
Forging:
Heat to 1150 to 1200°C and hold at temperature until thoroughly soaked and suitable to forge. Do not forge below 850°C.
Heat Treatment:
To harden EN26 first heat the component to 820 to 850°C and hold at temperature until thoroughly soaked. Quench the EN26 component in oil, water or polymer as required. EN26 can be flame or induction hardened to achieve a high surface hardness.
Tempering
To temper EN26, heat the component to the required tempering temperature (450 to 660°C), thoroughly soak for 1 hour per 25mm thickness of section, cool in air.
Nitriding
EN26 can be nitrided to give a surface hardness of up to 60HRc. Heat to 500 to 530°C and hold for sufficient time to develop the case depth required, no quenching is required.
Stress Relieving
To stress relieve EN26, heat the component to 640 to 660°C and hold until temperature is uniform through the section. Soak the EN26 component for 1 hour per 25mm thickness of section and cool in air.
