With our full inventory, we are able to deliver what you are looking for. With its carbon content of 0.17%, steel is the most common form of steel as it has the properties of being accepted for many automobile applications such as heavy-duty gear, shafts, pinion, camshafts, and gudgeoned pins [1,8]. The material is neither externally brittle nor ductile because of its lower carbon content and lower hardness. As the carbon content of the metal increases, it becomes harder and stronger. In order to ensure the material of the specimen, a full spectrum optical emission spectrometer (OES) is used.
This result comes from the chemical analysis that the carbon content of the sample is 0.17 percent, the silicon content is 0.3 percent, the manganese content is 0.56 percent, the phosphorus content is 0.012 percent, sulfur content is 0.13 percent, the chromium content is 0.953 percent, the nickel content is 0.989 percent, molybdenum content is 0.16 percent, and iron accounts for the remaining percentages. The chemical composition of the material of the sample is determined by polishing it with 60-grit paper and introducing two sparks on its surface. In order to be sure that the raw material has the right chemical composition, the raw material is machined to its dimensions and subjected to various tests.
In addition to stocking a variety of EN 47 Steel Sheets and Plates, Grand Metal Corporation can supply EN 47 Steel Sheets and Plates at the best price on short notice.
A round bar that is made up of medium carbon steel is an EN47 specification similar to the round bar specification. The EN 47 Forged Bar is highly flexible, compared to mild steel. This alloy is suitable for the manufacturing of super studs, bolts, connecting rods, and tubes. This type of steel is known to be suitable for the hardening and tempering of oil paintings. It is a high-quality steel that is highly resistant to wear and tear after heat treatment.
EN47 Steel Flat Bars have been used for various applications, such as heat exchangers, food processing machinery, structural pipelines, and fabrication industries. EN47 steel flat bars won’t rust or corrode, and they also have a high fatigue strength.
A Spring Steel Hexagonal Bar is a spring steel bar with excellent resistance to scraping, shock, and corrosion, as well as a high degree of durability. In other words, these EN47 Black Bars are rated as best for parts that are subject to stress, vibration, and shock. The EN47 Bars are welded by conventional alloy and resistance techniques. It is still not recommended to weld using oxyacetylene. The use of them can be found in plumbing, heating, the chemical industry, oil painting, and gas industries, as well as power manufacturing.

Grade Introduction:
This spring steel is rolled and ready for oil hardening and tempering. It is spring steel that is suitable for oil hardening and tempering. En47 spring steels combine spring characteristics with good wear and abrasion resistance when oil hardened and tempered. In addition to offering excellent toughness and shock resistance when hardened, EN47 has excellent mechanical properties, making it an excellent spring steel for parts that are subject to vibration, shocks, and stress.
There has been an increase in the number of spring steel bars available in our range including the EN47 Spring Steel Round Bar. It is also known as 51CrV4 or 50CrV4 spring steel or DIN 1.8159 spring steel or AISI 6150 spring steel in other countries.
In addition to tractors, heavy vehicles, large plate springs, industrial production loads, and helical springs, the EN47 bar is widely used in many general engineering applications as well. When hardened, it is extremely shock resistant and tough, making it an ideal alloy spring for parts that are subject to shock, stress, and vibration.
Grade Application:
This particular spring steel is most widely used in the motor vehicle industry, as well as in general engineering and high-tension applications. It is excellent for applications that require high tensile strength and toughness, such as crankshafts, steering knuckles, gears, spindles, pumps, etc.

Heat treatment:
As a result of factors such as the shape and size of each component, heat treatment temperatures, including the rate of heating, cooling, and soaking time, will vary according to the shape and size of each component. It is also important to consider the type of furnace, quenching medium, and workpiece transfer facilities during the heat treatment process. If you would like full guidance about the heat treatment of EN47, please contact your heat treatment provider.
Hardening:
Let the powder be heated up slowly to 650-700°C and allowed to soak thoroughly for 5 minutes. Continue to heat the steel until it reaches the final hardening temperature of 830-860°C, and allow the component to be heated to its optimum temperature throughout the process. Put the oil in a pan and let it cool.
Tempering:
If the EN47 spring steel component is quenched immediately after quenching, temper it while the tools are still warm. After heating to tempering temperature, soak for one hour per 25 millimeters of total thickness (2 hours minimum) and cool in air. Typical tempering temperatures for this grade are 400-600°C.
